An overwhelming crowd at the Penang Municipal Park attended the state-level celebration of the nationwide Tour de NFC 2005 fitness carnival.

The National Fitness Council (NFC) event was launched by Youth and Sports Minister Datuk Azalina Othman Said. Among the dignitaries who took part were Penang Youth and Sports, Women, Family and Community Development Committee chairman Datuk Jahara Hamid, Youth and Sports director-general Suroya Selamat, Penang Youth and Sports director Mohd Salleh Ramli and Penang Municipal Council president Datuk Ahmad Phesal Talib.
