With Penang Free School as the new venue for this year's MSSPP Chess Championship, the competition has shown great interest from students with the increase in participation from schools all over Penang State in this annual event.

Over 6 days of gruesome challenges and hardship, the effort finally paid off for Penang Chinese Girls' High School in this year's neck-to-neck race for the Visioncare Challenge Trophy over rivals Penang Free School, Chung Ling and Union High School.
